Edna was born March 31, 1917, in Muscatine, Iowa, the daughter of Herman and Ella (Mohr) Myers. When Edna was 5 years old, the family moved to Everett, Wash. for three years due to her father's employment. When they moved back to Iowa, she attended Lowell and North Junior Schools in Sioux City. The last six months she resided at Touchstone Living Center, due to a broken arm, with hopes of returning to her home.

Edna was very family oriented. She enjoyed cooking, especially for the holidays and always made sure no one went away hungry. Her faith was very important to her. She was young at heart and was a faithful caregiver to members of her family as well as others who were in need.
