SIOUX CITY -- Maudie Lee Smith-Zellweger, 86, of Mesa, Ariz., formerly of Sioux City, died March 22, 2011.

Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Monday, April 4, in the Garden Room at View Point RV Resort, 8700 E. University, Mesa, AZ 85207. Condolences may be sent to Donald Zellweger, 8700 W. University, Space 1509, Mesa, AZ 85207.

She was born Oct. 14, 1924, in Sikeston, Mo., to Minius and Clara Knight, the youngest of eight brothers and sisters. She married Willard J. Smith and they resided in Sioux City, where they owned and operated Smith's Dry Cleaners for 40 years before retiring to Mesa.

She will be remembered for her kindness to one and all, her willingness to help out whenever asked to do so, and her desire to make the most of whatever came her way.

Survivors include her husband, Donald Zellweger; her daughter, Saundra Nelson of Mesa; a grandson, Tom Jones of Albuquerque, N.M.; and three great-grandchildren, Sari, Darby and Haydn Jones.
