LAWTON, Iowa -- Frances Marie Evernham, 78, of Lawton, died Tuesday, March 15, 2011, at Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital in Lincoln, Neb.

Services will be 1 p.m. Friday at St. James United Methodist Church in Sioux City, with the Rev. Ryan Christenson officiating. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. today, with the family present 5 to 7 p.m. and a prayer service at 6 p.m., at Waterbury Funeral Service in Sergeant Bluff. Frances was born Feb. 21, 1933, in Sioux City to Orlin Ray and Marjorie Pearl (Nisbet) Rumelhart.

Frances married Maurice Oran Evernham on Aug. 31, 1950, in Sioux City. They had six children.

Frances was a member of St. James United Methodist Church in Sioux City.

Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Alvin (Al) Maurice and Debbie Evernham of Sergeant Bluff, Vernon George and Robin Evernham of Lawton, Danny Lee and Bonnie Evernham of Bronson, Iowa; three daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon Kay and William Pike of Oak Grove, Minn., Kathern (Kathy) Frances and Darren Theesen of Lincoln and Sandra Pearl Evernham of East Bethel, Minn.; 12 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Delbert Rumelhart of Fort Worth, Texas; two sisters-in-law, Marie Rumelhart of West Point, Iowa, and Eulalia Gruing of Windom, Minn.; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice; an infant sister; and a brother, Dareld Rumelhart.

A memorial fund has been established for Frances' medical bills at 5711 Queens Drive, Lincoln, NE 68516.
