.SERGEANT BLUFF -- Alice Margaret Wynn, 87, of Sergeant Bluff passed away Sunday, April 10, 2011, at a local nursing home.

Services will be 7 p.m. Thursday at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 p.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home.

Alice was born Feb. 23, 1924, in Correctionville, Iowa, the daughter of Arnold and Mary (Reed) Hansen. She grew up and attended grade school in Correctionville. She then attended Woodrow Wilson Middle School in Sioux City.

Alice married Jensy Wynn on May 18, 1946, in Dakota City. He preceded her in death in 1964. She then met Wayne Johnson and the couple had been living in Sergeant Bluff since 1966. Alice worked for a short time at Kelly's Produce before beginning the career of cleaning houses.

She loved animals, especially dogs and cats. She also loved to sing and dance and even took tap dance classes when she was younger.

She is survived by her significant other, Wayne Johnson of Sergeant Bluff; a niece, Amelia Ziemer of Sioux City; a grandnephew, Al Cross; a grandniece, Meshelle Martin; and other nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Gary Alvin Wiggs; brothers, Henry Hansen, Robert Hansen, Bud Hansen and Bill Hansen; and sisters, Dorothy Boomen and Hilda Nielsen.
