10 April 2011SIOUX CITY -- Betty (Hoelker) Zeigler, 70, of Fayetteville, Ark., formerly of Anthon, Iowa, and Sioux City, passed away March 19, 2011.
Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Sioux City.
Betty was born Dec. 31, 1940, in Anthon, Iowa, to John and Elizabeth Hoelker. She graduated from Heelan High School in 1959. Following graduation, Betty moved to California.
She married Robert Zeigler and they moved to Louisiana, then to Houston, Texas, where she lived for 38 years. Betty retired from Central United Life Insurance as the manager of policy administration. Recently, she moved to Fayetteville to be closer to her grandchildren.
Survivors include her son, Byron Zeigler and his wife, Leslie and their daughters, Allison and Hailey of Fayetteville; a brother, Jim Hoelker; a brother and his wife, Tony and Jerry Hoelker; a sister-in-law, Lois Hoelker, all of Sioux City; a brother, Gary and his wife, Verna of Moorpark, Calif.; many nieces and nephews; and her best friend, Rosey Lepore of Houston, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Dorothy Cloud; a brother, Merritt Hoelker; and a sister-in-law, Jan Hoelker.
