Violet was born Oct. 26, 1921, in Climbing Hill. Violet was the third child of Omar William and Argie Thelma (Metcalf) Morrison. The family of six girls and one son enjoyed many fond times with family and friends growing up in the 1920s and 1930s in Climbing Hill. Violet enjoyed and blessed everyone with her contagious love of life and positive attitude. Violet lived a life of joy and thankfulness for the beauty and love that surrounds us all. Violet and Russ visited many parts of the country and settled in Omaha.

Violet is survived by her sisters, Loretta and her husband, Kenneth Schieuer of Anthon, Iowa, and Marion Crowther of Sioux City; brother-in-law, Gayle Christensen of Climbing Hill; and sister-in-law, Betty Ferdig of Climbing Hill. Violet is also survived by many loving and admiring nieces and nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews, who have been and will always be inspired by Violet's loving and positive attitude she shared with everyone.
