26 May 2011SIOUX CITY -- Joanne Asbra, 77, of Fort Collins, Colo., passed away Sunday, May 22, 2011.
Services will be 1 p.m. today at Front Range Baptist Church in Fort Collins. Arrangements are under the direction of Allnutt Funeral Service in Fort Collins.
Joanne was born Sept. 11, 1933, in Sioux City, the daughter of Florence and Thayer Bowers Hornby. She was raised in Sioux City.
Joanne's life was guided by her faith and relationship with her Lord and Savior. Joanne's daughter Stacey was at her side when she passed. She was loved and will be missed by those who knew her.
Survivors include three children, Michael Asbra and wife Serena of Harrison, Tenn., Steven Asbra and wife Dawn of Leesburg, Fla., and Stacey Engemoen and husband Steven of Fort Collins; five grandchildren, Jessica, Christopher, Jill, Jeffrey and Chelsea; a brother, Bud Hornby of La Jolla, Calif.; and a sister, Susan Grothe of Longmont, Colo.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Mary Binacci; and a brother, Gerald Hornby.
