12 May 2011SIOUX CITY -- Jae Johnson, 75, of Medford, Ore., formerly of Sioux City, passed away Sunday, May 8, 2011, of an apparent heart attack.
Private family celebration of life services are planned.
Jae was born in Moneta, Iowa, and graduated from Morningside College in 1961. This past October, Jae was inducted into the Morningside Hall of Fame along with the championship 1960 baseball team.
He was a great teammate and friend and is mourned by many.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Glenda; a daughter, Jamie Leach and her two sons, William and Grant; a daughter, Jody Wright and her two children, Garrett and Kaitlyn Wright; and a brother, Hugh Johnson of Hartley, Iowa.
Memorials may be sent in Jae's name to Morningside College.
