1 May 2011SIOUX CITY -- Darlene J. Parker formerly of Sioux City passed away on April 26, 2011, peacefully from the arms of her loving family into the arms of her Lord.
Memorial service will be 7 p.m. Friday, May 6, at Heartland Baptist Church in Sioux City, with the Rev. Eugene Stockton officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Restland Funeral Home in Dallas.
She was born Oct. 26, 1940, in Vermillion, S.D., to Wilbar Adams and Marjorie Dooley.
Darlene loved celebrating her vivacious life with friends and family through church, parties, and birthdays. She treasured dearly her dogs and best friends, Sally and Annie. But most of all, her heart belonged to her faith in Jesus Christ.
She is survived by her four children, Rick (Eleanor) Fetterman of Sioux City, Kirk Fetterman of McKinney, Texas, Kevin (Tamara) Fetterman of Indianapolis, Ind., and Darcy (David) Hall of Palestine, Texas; eight beautiful grandchildren; two precious great-grandchildren; brothers, Gary Adams, Arnold Adams, David Adams, Danny Adams; sister, Debbie Klemme Quill; ex-husband, Jimmy Fetterman; and ex-husband and companion, Bob Parker.
She was preceded in death by sister, Shelly N. Robinson.
