SIOUX CITY -- James Fredrick Jessen, 53, of Sioux City passed away Friday, Feb. 25, 2011, at Hallmark Care Center in Sioux City.

Services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday at the United Congregational Church of Christ in Kingsley, Iowa, with the Rev. Bob Blair officiating. Visitation will begin 1 p.m. until time of service Tuesday at the church. Rohde Funeral Home of Kingsley is handling funeral arrangements.

James was born Jan. 19, 1957, in Sioux City, Iowa, the son of Fredrick and Eleanore (DeLambert) Jessen. He attended Pierson Elementary school and graduated from Kingsley-Pierson High School in Kingsley, with the class of 1976. James was a member of the United Methodist Church in Pierson, Iowa. He worked at Goodwill Industries for many years.

James is survived by his mother, Eleanore Jessen, and his two sisters, Roxanne Jessen of Omaha, Neb., and Brenda Herthel and her husband, Cliff, of Lake Elsinore, Calif.

Preceding James in death was his father, Fredrick Jessen.
