16 Janary 2011SIOUX CITY -- Patricia A. Hostad, 82, of Sioux City passed away Thursday, Jan. 13, 2011, at Sunrise Retirement Community.
Graveside services will be at a later date in Graceland Park Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel. Condolences may be sent online to www.meyerbroschapels.com.
Patricia was born April 23, 1928, in Sioux City, to Walter and Margaret (Thrush) Hostad. She graduated from Central High School in 1947. She was a dietary aid for 41 years at St. Luke's Regional Medical Center, retiring in 1991.
She enjoyed bowling and fishing. She was a member of First Lutheran Church and the Senior Center.
She is survived by her brother, Bob (Joan) Hostad of Sioux City; two sisters, Nancy (Dean) Haack and Alice Rahn, both of Sioux City; a niece, Lesley Bartholomew of Sioux City; and two nephews, Calvin Hawk of Carlise, Iowa, and Shawn Hostad of Ramsey, Minn.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother-in-law, Tim Rahn.
The family would like to thank the Berenstein Facility and Hospice of Siouxland.
