SIOUX CITY -- Jacqueline D. Bartle-Velasquez, 61, of Sioux City passed away Monday, Jan. 17, 2011, at a local hospital.

Memorial services will be noon Friday at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel, with the Rev. Mark McGlohon officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service Friday at the funeral home.

Jacqueline was born March 30, 1949, in Sioux City, the daughter of Clarence "Babe" and Fern (Nyreen) Bartle. Jacqueline graduated from Central High School and worked as a bartender for various establishments throughout the Sioux City area.

She was always known for being a caregiver and always having her door open. She unselfishly gave of herself to anyone in need. Jacqueline also loved her pets and enjoyed crocheting and playing on the computer.

Survivors include her children, Shannon Bartle and LeeAnn Bowman of South Sioux City, Shellie Lewis and her husband, Sean Aspleaf of Sioux City, Jeanette and her husband, Michael Pence of Princeton, Iowa, Amanda Lewis and Brandon Fierro of Sioux City, and John Velasquez and Alisha Wermes of Sioux City; six grandchildren, Jaryn Ringler, Emily Archer, Camryn Fierro, Eli Pence, Hillary Bowman and Hazel Giron; three brothers, Marlin and wife, Sharon Bartle of Sioux City, John Bartle of Sioux City, and Rodney Bartle of Sioux City; and one sister Marlene and husband, Harold Zuckerman of Kingwood, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Richard Bartle.
