CORRECTIONVILLE, Iowa -- Marcella M. Jenness-Streed, 72, of Correctionville, formerly of LaBelle, Fla., passed away on Friday, June 11, 2010, at a Sioux City hospital.

Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Grace United Methodist Church of Correctionville, with the Rev. Sheryl K. Ashley officiating. Burial will be in Correctionville Cemetery of Correctionville. There will be no visitation. The Nicklas D. Jensen Funeral Home of Correctionville is in charge of the arrangements.

Marcella Mae Streed was born on Jan. 21, 1938, in Correctionville, Iowa, to Alvin and Elizabeth (Boettger) Jenness. She graduated from Correctionville High School in 1956.

Marcella was married to Bill Cadwell until his death in 1973. She then married Cliff Streed, who passed away in 1991. She worked at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Cherokee Mental Health Institute, and she retired from Winn Dixie. Marcella moved to Florida in the mid-1980s and lived there for 32 years.

She was an active member of the Florida Lions Club and American Legion in Florida. She enjoyed painting with Tri Chem and playing Bingo. She was an animal lover and owned five Chihuahuas.

Marcella is survived by her son, Leroy Edwards; grandchildren and their families, Lindsay and Donny and children Harmony and Kaya, Greg and Sarah and children Trinity, Tanner and Nativity, John and Katie and children Carson and MaKinlee, Hope and son Warren, and Angela and dogs Malibu and Kahlua; sister Joyce and Raymond Saxen; and brother, Floyd and Maurita Jenness.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bill Cadwell and husband, Cliff Streed; brothers, Rick Edwards and Herald Edwards; and a sister, Katie Kellog.
