SIOUX CITY -- Deloris M. Carlson, 94, of Sioux City passed away Friday, Dec. 17, 2010, at Holy Spirit Retirement Home.

Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Mayflower Congregational Church, with the Rev. Dan Lozer officiating. Visitation will begin 9:30 a.m. Monday at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service in Sergeant Bluff.

Deloris was born on Oct. 15, 1916, in Anoka, Neb., the daughter of John and Marjorie (Graves) McMillin. On May 14, 1941, Deloris was united in marriage to Paul Carlson in South Sioux City. Paul died in 1998.

She enjoyed crocheting, embroidering and was a fabulous cook. Deloris was a lifetime member of the Morningside Rose Croix, Chapter 502 and a member of the Mayflower Congregational Church.

Deloris is survived by her son, Gary Carlson and his wife, Vicky of Sioux City; three daughters, Sandra Craig of West Virginia, Lynn and her husband, David Schlesser of Maurice, Iowa, and Lori Carlson of Vadnais Heights, Minn.; six grandchildren, Senta Eilola, Greg Craig, Sarah Loe, Robert Costello, Conner Renshaw and Danielle Mitchell; and several stepgrandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Paul; two brothers, Lyle McMillin and Ronald McMillin; and two sisters, Laverne Brauckmiller and Lois Ringlebaur.
