SIOUX CITY -- Anthony A. "Tony" Boltz, 47, of Sioux City passed away Tuesday, May 11, 2010, at a local hospital from natural causes.

Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Morningside Assembly of God Church, with Pastor Lee Crum officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m. and a prayer service at 7 p.m., at Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel. Tony was born Sept. 24, 1962, in Grand Island, Neb. After graduating from West High School, he moved to Des Moines, Iowa, where he was a manager of a Pizza Hut. He later moved to Aurora, Colo., where he managed another restaurant. While in Colorado, he started his 24-year-long career as a truck driver beginning with Werner Trucking and currently for Kounkel Trucking in Sioux City.

On May 15, 2000, he married Penny M. (Parsons) Millard in Sioux City. The couple renewed and confirmed their vows on Aug. 5 of that same year. Tony enjoyed his motorcycle and Corvette; however, spending time with his wife, grandkids and family was his greatest enjoyment.

He is survived by his wife, Penny; 11 children (and 13 great-grandchildren), Jennifer and John Carter (Nickolas and Lucas), Tracy and Norris Wimberly (Jasmine and Shelby), all of Havelock, N.C., Treasa Dirks and Jason Marlin (Graclyn and Kiernan) of Sioux City, Kym and Nick Webb (Abigail and Aubrey) of Des Moines, Iowa, Shannon and Kimben Mallorca (Hanna and another on the way) of Florida, Courtney Boltz (Crista, Ayhlah and another on the way) of Sioux City, Anthony Boltz Jr. of Beatrice, Neb., Heather Boltz and her fiance, Colt Golden (Oakley and Devin), Trever Boltz and Michael Boltz of Sioux City, and Zachary Boltz of Beatrice; his father, Derald L. "Dusty" Boltz and his wife, Billie of St. Joseph, Mo.; two brothers, Derald "Lee" Boltz Jr. and his wife, Judy of Grand Island, Neb., and Robby Svoboda and his wife, Shirley of Buena Park, Calif.; three sisters, Jody Hemmer and her husband, Shane of Grand Island, Lori Hackney of Harris, Iowa, and Micki Strong and her husband, Mark of Sergeant Bluff; his mother of choice, Florence Parsons of Sioux City; two sisters-in-law, Jamie Parsons and her significant other, Bo Flannegan of Emmetsburg, Iowa, and Wendy and Larry Hodgins of Delta, Pa.; and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
