SIOUX CITY -- Debra A. (Peterson) Stone, 54, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, formerly of Sioux City, died Monday, May 3, 2010, at Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha, Iowa.

Private family graveside services were held in Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids. A memorial service is being planned, contact the family.

Mrs. Stone was born Aug. 2, 1955, in Merced, Calif., to Harry Duane and Shirley May (Johnson) Peterson. She married Randy Stone on Nov. 25, 1972, in Sioux City. They resided in Sac City, Iowa, until moving to Cedar Rapids, where they resided for the last 25 years. She worked as a travel agent, before going to work for Wellmark Insurance.

Survivors include her husband, Randy Stone of Cedar Rapids; two daughters, Melissa and Michael Jones of Meridian, Miss., and Renee Stone of Washington, D.C.; a son, Eric Stone of Cedar Rapids; a granddaughter, Madelyn Jones; and three sisters, Connie Peterson of Sergeant Bluff, Barbara McClure of Laurel, Miss., and Laurie Amick of Bronson, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Shirley; her paternal grandparents, Harry and Mabel Peterson; and maternal grandparents, Orville and Virginia Johnson.
