SIOUX CITY -- Ronnie L. Saul, 52, of Sioux City passed away Sunday, May 2, 2010, at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Omaha following a brief illness.

Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at the Ho-Chunk Center in Winnebago, Neb., with Larry Payer and Elwood Harden officiating. Burial will be in Winnebago, with military rites conducted by the Veterans Association. Visitation will begin today and will continue until service time Thursday at the Ho-Chunk Center. Arrangements are under the direction of the Winnebago Wake and Burial Program.

Ronnie L. Saul was born June 18, 1957, in Winnebago. He was a longtime resident of Sioux City. He served with the U.S. Marine Corps from 1977 to 1979. He was employed as a laborer in the Sioux City area.

Survivors include his mother, Anna M. Rogue; sisters, Marie Yellowbull and Fern Saul; brothers, Wayne Kelsey Sr. and Joey Saul Sr.; his children, Ronald Thomas, Alicia Thomas, Julie Ann Saul, Kevin Saul, Kyle Saul, and Alan Saul; and 11 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joe Saul Sr.; and a sister, Julie Ann Kelsey.

Pallbearers will be James Hallun, Rodney McCauly, Fred Merrick, Terry Thomas, Clarence Thomas and Joe Provost.
