SIOUX CITY -- John "Jack" Manley of Sheridan, Colo., formerly of Sioux City, passed away July 21, 2010, at his residence.

Abiding by his request, no services will be held.

Jack was born Sept. 25, 1938, in Ponca, Neb., to Bernard and Mary (Carney) Manley. He attended South Sioux City and St. Michael's schools. He graduated from Bishop Heelan High School in 1957.

He moved to Denver, Colo., right after high school and worked in the carpet and floor covering business. He married Patricia Land in 1958, in Denver.

Jack is survived by his wife, Patricia; two sons, Jim and his wife, Denise of Denver and Tom and his wife, Karen of Parker, Colo.; three daughters, Cheryl and her husband, Rodney McDaniel of Globe, Ariz., Lisa Manley of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Diane and her husband, Bill Almeida of Colorado Springs; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three brothers, Bill and his wife, Vera of Akron, Iowa, Gene and his wife, Carole of South Sioux City and Don and his wife, Jeanette of Omaha; and a sister, Mary Frances Manley of Sioux City.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and an infant brother, Darrell.
