SIOUX CITY -- Lynn M. Richardson, 54, of Sioux City passed away from cancer Tuesday, July 20, 2010, at a local hospital.

Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel, with the Rev. Michael Zabel of First Covenant Church officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., at the funeral home. Condolences may be sent online to www.meyerbroschapels.com.

Lynn was born Aug. 24, 1955, in Sioux City, the son of Lynn Keith and Glenda A. (McCall) Richardson. He graduated from North High School in 1973, and attended Western Iowa Tech Community College.

On April 5, 1980, he married Michelle P. Bertrand in Sioux City. He most recently worked as a maintenance engineer for the city of Sioux City. Prior to that, he worked at LeGrand and Co., IPS and the Orpheum Building.

He enjoyed golfing, campfires, and going to watch his kids at North High School marching band competitions, Headid baseball games and jazz performances.

Survivors include his wife, Michelle Richardson; four children, Allie, twins Zachary and Andrew and Brian Richardson, all at home; his siblings, Jody (Laura) Gravedoni, Kimberli Baker, Art Fritz, Scott Fritz, Mark (Narin) Richardson, Brenda Riley and Jody (Shane) Stoeffler; his stepfather, Arthur Fritz; other relatives; and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Shawn Fritz.
