Maryann Derby, 58, Sioux City, died Sunday (March 11, 1990) in a Sioux City hospital.

Services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in St. Joseph Catholic Church in- Sioux City. Rev. John Thomas officiated. Burial was in St. Michael Catholic Cemetery in South Sioux City, under direction of Becker- Hunt Funeral Home in South Sioux City.

Mrs. Derby, the former Maryann Frigge, was born May 4, 1931, in Hartington, Neb., the daughter of Frank F. and Ida M. (Udding) Frigge. She married Marvin G. Derby May 1, 1948, in South Sioux City. She was a longtime resident of Sioux City. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Sioux City.

Survivors include her husband; a son and his wife, Terry and Lisa Derby of Kingsley, la.; three daughters, Bonnie Derby of Omaha, Michelle and her husband, Jeff Nassiff of Sioux City, and Verna and her husband, Ralph Follman of San Bernardino, Calif.; two brothers, Roman Frigge of Sioux City and David Frigge of Westfield, la.; three sisters, Sylvia Boelter of Marina, Calif., Florence Keelin of Rapid City, S.D., and Verena Gastro of Sioux City; and six grandchildren, Justin and Joshua Derby, Brooke Moen, and Paris, David and Matthew Follman.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Clarence and a sister, Rose.
