Hazel M Hammer Ruch

Moville, Iowa—Mrs. R.G. Ruch, 82, Moville, Iowa, died Thursday in a Sioux City hospital after a long illness.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Moville United Methodist Church. The Rev. Travis G. Cannaday will officiate. Burial will be in the Arlington Cemetery under the direction of the McCulloch Funeral Home.

Mrs. Ruch, the former Hazel M. Hammer, was born May 29, 1900 in rural Moville and was a lifelong area resident. She graduated from Moville High School.

She married Carl F Strohbehn in 1918. He preceded her in death. She married Robert G. Ruch in 1930. He preceded her in death. She worked as a telephone operator for Mutual Telephone Co. for 25 years and was co-owner with her husband of an insurance agency for 30 years.

Mrs. Ruch was a member of Moville United Methodist Church and Arlington Chapter 428, Order of Eastern Star.

Survivors include one daughter, Ms. Phyllis Crowl of Sioux City; two brothers, Ray of Alexandria, Va. And Louis of Marshalltown; one sister, Mrs. Darrell (Helen) Boggs of Hubbard; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
