Doris C. Miller, 57, of Sioux City, died Monday, Feb. 17, 1992, at her residence after a six-month illness of cancer.

Services will be held Thursday at the Cathedral of the Epiphany. Rev. Alfred McCoy officiating. Burial will be in Calvary cemetery, under direction of Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.

Pallbearers will be David Miller, Paul Miller, Bill Linden, Sam Morgan, Jerry Montagne, and Jim Stotz.

Mrs. Miller, the former Doris C. Wakeman, was born Dec. 12, 1934, in Union county, S.D. She graduated from Akron (Iowa) high school in 1952 and the National Business Training school in 1953. She had been a resident of Sioux Qty since 1953. She married Gene G. Miller in Akron, May 5, 1956. She had worked for Remington Rand, Boyle Real Estate Co., Niagara Chemical and the Woodbury County treasurer's office. Mrs. Miller was a member of the Cathedral of the Epiphany.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Michael G. and his wife, Nancy, of Davenport, Iowa; two daughters and their husbands, Kathryn and Rick Poskevich of Soux City and Joan and Rob Hosier of Riviera, Ariz.; her parents, Glenn and Muriel Wakeman of Akron; a brother, James, of Akron; a sister, Barb-.Linden, of, Solon, Iowa; and three grandchildren, David and Michelle Poskevich and Tianna Hosier.

She was preceded in death by a son, Michael C. Miller; a daughter, Peggy Susan Miller; and a sister, Colleen Demaree.
