Lucile B. Moeller

Lucile B. Moeller, 76, 3036 Kensington Court, died Thursday, June 25, 1992, at a Sioux City hospital after a long illness.

Services were held Monday at the First Congregational United Church of Christ, with Rev. Richard Smith officiating. Burial was in Logan Park cemetery, under direction of Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.

Mrs. Moeller was born Jan. 5, 1916, near Marcus, Iowa, the daughter of Raymond and Geneva (Carpenter) Barnes. She was baptized and confirmed in the Marcus Methodist church. She received her teaching degree
from Iowa State Teachers' college, and taught at Spirit Lake for two years. She married Ervin Frederick Moeller June 7, 1942, at Marcus. They lived in Sioux City. She worked as an interviewer for the Iowa State Employment Agency for seven years. Mr. Moeller died April 14, 1988, in Sioux City. She was a member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ. She was a member of the PEO, Chapter la., Daughters of the Nile, the Sioux Delphians Study Club, Can Do Its, the Mended Hearts and Senior Citizens Center.

Survivors include two sons and their wives, Ted and Dottie of Akron, Iowa, and Dennis and Sharon of Sioux City; a daughter and her husband, Jana and Bruce Volkert of Washta, Iowa; and seven grandchildren, Dayle, Derek, Ryan and Steve Moeller, and Wade, Leah and Lauren Volkert. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother.
