DEATH OP REV. A. JAMIESON
Was Well Known Methodist Preacher
In This Conference,

The remains of Rev. A. Jamieson
Were brought to Le Mars yesterday
for interment, the funeral being
conducted by Rev. J.K. Hawkins.
Rev. Archibald Jamieson died at the
home of his daughter, Mrs. O. C. Foster
in Correctionville on Tuesday
night. Death was due to blood poisoning.
Mr. Jamieson was a widely known
Methodist minister and had many
friends in Le Mars, He was born in
Canada eighty years ago and came to
the United States In 1872, and entered
the ministry, becoming a member of
the Iowa Methodist Episcopal conference.
He was pastor of the Le Mars
church in the early eighties and later
went to South Dakota where he served
In pastorates at Sioux Falls, Pierre,
Vermillion and Beresford.
After being superannuated he moved
To Correctionville and made his home
with his daughter for many years past.
He is survived by three children, Amos
Jamieson, of Pasadena, Cal.; Will Jamieson,
or Miles City, Mont., and Mrs.
O. C. Foster, of Correctionville. Mrs.
Jamieson is in very poor health and
was unable to attend the funeral.
Two children, Mrs. Nellie Mallery and
Robert Jamieson, preceded him in
death. Robert Jamieson lived in Le Mars
for many years.
The pallbearers at the funeral yesterday
were old friends of the deceased,
A. C. Demaray, John Bogen, O.
H. Higday, John Ivey, Robert Hodgson
and John Horker.
