Jack Anthony Preston, 47, of Sioux City died unexpectedly Saturday, Jan. 18, 2003, at a Sioux City hospital.

Memorial services will be 7 p.m. Friday at Riverside United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Janice Bennett officiating. There will be a time for fellowship following the service Friday in the church basement. The body had been cremated. There will be no visitation. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.

Mr. Preston was born June 15, 1955, in Sioux City, the son of Harry and Nellie (Lowry) Preston Sr. He graduated from West High School in 1974.

He married Janie Norton on Nov. 29, 1979. He was a painter by trade and enjoyed fishing.

Survivors include a son, Adam Preston and his fiancee, Jenni Bradley, of Ames, Iowa; three daughters, Kari Preston and her significant other, Brian Tenold, of Sioux City, Amie Preston and her fiance, Pete Waldman, of Nevada, Iowa, and Katie Preston of Sioux City; a son, Joey Gammon of Tennessee; four brothers, Stu and his wife, Lisa, Michael and his wife, Mary, Jeff and his wife, Kerri, and Joe, all of Sioux City; a sister, Janel Cox of Sioux City; and three grandchildren, Haylee, Hayden and Andrew.
