Doris M. "Aunt Honey" Manchester, 89, of Sioux City died Friday, Jan. 17, 2003, at a Sioux City nursing home.

Graveside services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday in Memorial Park Cemetery, with the Rev. James Nelson, pastor of Third Presbyterian Church, officiating. Visitation will be 12:30 to 1 p.m. Monday at Becker-Hunt Funeral Home in South Sioux City.

Doris was born July 28, 1913, in Sioux City, the daughter of Jasper L. and Laura B. (Allen) Graves.

She married William E. Manchester on May 31, 1940, in Omaha, Neb. The couple resided in California for many years. Her husband, William, died April 11, 1960, in Compton, Calif. She moved to Sioux City in 1970.

She enjoyed reading mystery novels, antiques and being with her nieces and nephews.

Survivors include two sisters, Laura J. (Lefler) and her husband, Charlie Kruse, and Frances Jones, all of South Sioux City; a brother, Troy "Bud" and his wife, Georgia Graves of Omaha; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Fred; and three sisters, Venus, Cora and Mary.
