Robert L. "Red" Jones, 58, of Sioux City died unexpectedly Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2003, at a Sioux City hospital.

Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel, with the Rev. Alex T. Washington officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 2 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.

Mr. Jones was born July 2, 1944, in Long Beach, Calif. He married Christina L. (Lamb) Bush on May 21, 1999, in Elk Point, S.D. He had been employed with Metz Baking Co. for over 37 years. He was most recently employed with Master Manufacturing.

He enjoyed camping, fishing, cars and riding his Harley.

Survivors include his wife, Christina; his mother, Geneva Olson of Sioux City; a son, Shane Jones of Westfield, Iowa; a daughter, Laurie Johnson of Sioux City; three stepsons, Joshua Bush of Sioux City, Jason Bush and his wife, Misty, of Ames, Iowa, and Jonathan Bush of Sioux City; three sisters and their husbands, Donna and Bob Stowe of Sioux City, Scheryl and Rick Turkleson of Mountain Grove, Mo., and Kathy and Tim Skidmore of Salix, Iowa; two grandchildren, Lacy Lynn Johnson and Sadie Josephine Johnson; and two stepgrandchildren, Angela Bush and Payton Bush.

He was preceded in death by his father, Daniel Olson; and a granddaughter, Hayley Jo Johnson.

Pallbearers will be Kyle Johnson, Josh Bush, Frank Cedillo, Rob Stowe, Tim Skidmore Jr. and Kyle Heck.
