SIOUX CITY -- Rita Sue (Gribble) Bruneau, 65, of Bennington, Neb., formerly of Sioux City, died Wednesday, March 24, 2010.

Private family services will be held. Arrangements are under the direction of Heafey-Heafey-Hoffmann-Dworak-Cutler, West Center Chapel in Omaha.

Rita was born July 29, 1944, in Sioux City. She was a 29-year employee of First Data Resources in Omaha.

Rita had many special friends. She always said her family and "forever friends" brought her many great memories and much love. She really enjoyed life and felt she had many of her dreams come true.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, William and Pamela Bruneau and their two sons, Trevor and Lucas Bruneau of Bennington; a son and daughter-in-law, Glenn and Brenda Bruneau and their three sons, Grant, Carter and Mason of Omaha; a daughter, Susan Dixon and her five children, David, Michael, Alex Audra and Sam of Omaha; and a stepbrothers, Robert Horner and his wife, Lisa of Des Moines.

She was preceded in death by her father and stepmother, James and Helen Gribble; her mother, Peggy Harvey; and a brother, Robert Gribble.

Memorials in memory of Rita Sue Bruneau may be made to Omaha Zoo Foundation to benefit the Giraffe Complex.
