MRS. GLENN ASHMORE
Mrs. Glenn Ashmore, 69, 2805 Second St., died Wednesday at a Sioux City hospital after a long illness.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday in the United Methodist Church in Correctionville, Iowa. The Rev. Matt Leach will officiate. Burial will be in the Correctionville Cemetery under the direction of the Barker Funeral Home of Correctionville.
Mrs. Ashmore, the former Mabel Lidman, was born April 25, 1911, at Spencer, Iowa.
She was married Dec. 30, 1940, at Dakota City, Neb. They resided in Sioux City. She was an elementary school teacher and later worked for the American Gear Co. for 15 years, retiring in 1970.
Survivors include the widower; twin daughters, Mrs. James (Janelle) Fisher of Moville, Iowa, and Mrs. Richard (Jeanette) Gruber of Pocahontas; one son, Jerry, of Gilmore City, Iowa; 12 grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. George F. (Elsie) Walters of Hartley, Iowa, and Mrs. Violet Schau of Seattle, Wash.
