Steinhoff Sisters

Wilhelmine Louisa, 1848-1883, was the third child of Henry and Julia (Yost) Steinhoff. She married Fred Neuhart. Louise and seven month old baby were the first buried in German City cemetery. The family moved on to Minnesota.

Their children were Minnie McLarty, Louise Beutner, Augusta Clayton, Charley Neuhart, William Neuhart, and Henry Neuhart. Television personality Bob Newhart is of this family.

Augusta WIlhelmine, 1850-1909, was the fourth child of Henry and Julia (Yost) Steinhoff. She married Frederick Weber, son of Henry and Margaret (Yockey) Weber. They settled in the German City community on a farm that is part of the Merald Weber farm. Their children were:

1( Elizabeth married Charles Callaghan. Their children were, Carl, Jennie, Earl and Minnie;

2( Anna married Will Rose;

3( Henry married Mary ‘Mae’ Ferguson. They had Edna Mann;

4( Charles married Anna Barbara Rose. Their children were Ella Goodsell, Edith Claus, Eleanora, Ruth Malloy, Gertrude Persinger, Elsie Lange, Alfred, Lizzie Hanner and Alice Nirenberg;

5( Edward married Christina Rose, sister of Anna. Their children were Clarence, Wilmer, Hulda, Maria ‘Mary’ Hanner, Amanda Steinhoff, Rosena Bowman, Lottie Lee, Everett, Oliver and Lorena Weimer.

Juliana Auguste, 1852-1940, was the fifth child of Henry and Julia (Yost) Steinhoff. She married Jacob Feldner. Their children were William and Henry. This family moved on to California.
