Leon and Blanche Robin

Leon Robin was born in Valcount, Canada, on March 11, 1853, son of Joseph Robin and Julia Themin.

Leon married Miss Blanche David on September 22, 1875, Blanche, the daughter of Frances David and Osith Provan, was born July 7, 1853, in Canada.

Leon and Blanche moved to Salix in 1884 and purchased a farm in Section 15, Lakeport Township. They lived there until 1890, when he sold the farm to Clement Allard. Later he purchased a farm in Grange township, Section 31. Mr. and Mrs. Robin retired from the farm and moved to Salix in 1931. Blanche passed away in 1932, Leon in 1934. Both are buried at St Joseph’s Cemetery, Salix.

They were parents of five children: Mrs. Herman ‘Rosealba’ Fortin, buried at Calvary cemetery, Sioux City; Victor, 1884-1920; Mrs. N F ‘Ella’ Hubert, 1890-1961; Mrs. Ovilla ‘Emma’ Gardepie, 1888-1974. One child died in infancy, and all are buried at St Joseph’s Cemetery.
