Evelyn Olson graduated form Central High School and worked part time at Eastman Kodak Company in the office while attending High School. She married Arthur C Olson, Jr. December 6, 1945, at the First Assembly of God Church. Arthur almost missed the streetcar the evening of the wedding, but the wedding took place on scheduling. Arthur got ptomaine poisoning in the Navy at the Great Lakes and Evelyn went to see him while he was very ill and was thankful he made a speedy recovery.

Evelyn worked at First National Bank in the Transit Department and worked for Dr Carroll Brown, Neurological Surgeon. It was there where she realized how God was so good to Arthur and Evy to give them three healthy children: Diana, October 8, 1946; GayLynn, September 26, 1943; and Arvid C, May 29, 1951. Evelyn attended Western Iowa Technical College and became a Licensed Practical Nurse working in surgery and Intensive Care. She felt that God expects out of people, service and holiness. One little way to be of service to mankind was to help the fevered brow or discouraged, down-and-out person who feels like he does not have a friend in the world.

On her lunch hour while working for Dr Brown, Evelyn would go down and sing at noon at the Sioux City Gospel Mission for the alcoholics and those less fortunate. She worked as charge nurse at Billy Sunday Retirement Home. Now being a retired nurse and at home at 3209 East 9th Street, she feels her calling is not over, for there are many who need our prayers and encouragement, for so many people who are hurting. ‘This is the day that the Lord hath made, let us rejoice and be glad in it’.

As of 1984 Esther (Attrill) Remer resides as housewife at 1395 So Lewiston, Aurora, Colorado. Harry Attrill resides as semi-retired farmer at Baywood Mobile Park, Apache Junction, Arizona, and Merrill, Iowa. Leone (Attrill) Piper resides as a housewife at 1612 Myrtle Street, Sioux City. Evelyn (Attrill) Olson resides as housewife at 3209 East 9th Street, Sioux City. Ila (Attrill) Ryan resides as housewife at 6020 Etwanda Ave., Tarzana, California.
