Harland and Helen Bush Higginbotham

Helen Emma Bush, daughter of William and Emma (Anders) Bush, was born August 23, 1911. A graduate of Moville High School, Class of 1930, she did housework and helped Dr George Stolley of Moville on his baby house calls. She worked at the Kingsley Nursing Home for nearly twenty years. She married Harlan Higginbotham on October 15, 1940, at Kingsley, Iowa. He had a greenhouse and was a radio and TV repairman. A veteran of World War II, Harlan passed away January 17, 1984. Their children were: Donald Wesley, born August 17, 1943, and accidentally killed in 1948; Ruth Ann, born May 1945; Norman Dale, born June 2, 1947; Harold William, born May 29, 1949; June Ellen, born June 1, 1951; and David Wayne, born in 1953 and passed away in infancy.

Ruth Ann graduated from Kingsley-Pierson High School, Class of 1963. She married Gary Gray in the early 60’s. Their children are: Robert Lee Higginbotham, born December 9, 1963, a 1983 graduate of Woodbury Central, and now a student at St Paul Bible College at St Bonifacious, Minnesota; Brenda LeAnn, born January 30, 1966, Little Princess at the Woodbury County Fair in 1973, and now a junior at Woodbury Central at Moville; Gary Leroy, born November 30, 1967; Dannielle Renae, born May 5, 1973; and Timothy Dale, born April 25, 1977.

Norman Dale graduated from Kingsley-Pierson, Class of 1965. He is a mechanic and is employed by Civil Service and is living in South Sioux City, Nebraska.

Harold William graduated from Kingsley-Pierson, Class of 1967. He is also a mechanic. Harold married Constance Marie Allen of Sioux City on July 9, 1970, at South Sioux City, Nebraska. Their children are: James Wellington, born September 11, 1972; Jody Lee, born January 24, 1976; Jeremy William, born March 20, 1978, and Justin Allan, born April 28, 1979. They are living at Kingsley, Iowa.

June Ellen attended school at Kingsley-Pierson and married Robert Lee Turpen of Belle Fourche, South Dakota, October 17, 1969, in Sioux City. Their children are: Angela Rose, born January 22, 1972; Robert Lee, born October 22, 1973; and Michael Shane, born December 17, 1979. They are living at South Sioux City. Mr Turpen is a construction worker.
