Eugene Nathaniel was born to Nathaniel and Edith (Winons) McArthur, on 17 July 1922, in Sioux City. He attended Franklin grade school and graduated from Leeds High School in 1941. He worked a short time at Albertson & Company before enlisting in the Navy form 1942 until 1945. He worked for the Burlington Northern Railroad from 1946 till his retirement in 1982.
Dorothy May Huber was born 1 December 1926 in Sioux City. She was adopted in 1928 by Lewis and Helen (Mines) Huber. She attended Webster grade school and graduated form Central High in 1946.
On 9 July 1947 Eugene and Dorothy were married at St Boniface Catholic Church, Sioux City. They had two children:

Alan Eugene was born 25 May 1948 and died 8 March 1963.

Mrs Regina Marie Hanna was born 16 June 1949 and lives in Sioux City. She has four grandchildren: Lee, Chaeli, Stephanie, and Rhiannon.

Update: Dorothy found her birth family. Through that birth family, she, her daughter, and granddaughters were able to join Martha Washington Chapter DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution).
