Donald Clifford Baumgardner and Lucretia Ann (Cain)
By Virginia CainLucretia Ann (Cain) Baumgardner was born June 20, 1965, at the Methodist Hospital in Sioux City, Iowa. She weighed 8 lb. when she was born. She was also born on Father’s Day. Lucretia was named after her grandmother and mother. Her parents are: Milton John Cain, and Virginia Ann (Kucera). Both were born in Sioux City. Lucretia’s grandparents were: Amiel Ben Cain and Beulah Vivian (Austin) Cain; and William Henry Kucera and Lucretia May (Howard) Kucera.
Lucretaia was baptized at Trimblie Methodist Church on July 4, 1965. She attended Sunday School there for several years.
She has two brothers. They were Milton William, nicknamed Don, and Terrance Lee, nicknamed Terry.
She went to Lowell Grade School from kindergarten through six grade. In 4th she was in the school orchestra, playing the clarinet. She attended Brownies and Girl Scouts through grade school and a year in Jr. High School. Her mother was a leader and helper a lot of those years she attended. She went to Leeds Jr. High School and was in 4H and in Choral. In 9th grade she was in track. She was in Shot Put, Discus, and in one running event. She went to North High School in her 10th and ½ of her 11th year. She continued to go to the Annex for Home Economics Occupations the rest of her 11th year, and also went to (I.L.C.) Individual Learning Center. She went to Annex till mid-term and to I.L.C. until she earned the rest of her credits in her 12th year. She graduated from North High in May 1983.
She likes animals, especially horses. She started to collect all kinds of horses, pictures, statues, and anything that pertains to horses.
She babysits. She likes to watch soap operas. She also enjoys driving and reading.
She had blond hair when she was little, but gradually as she got older it turned brown; she wears it long. She has blue eyes.
Lucretia met Donald Clifford Baumgardner about 1979. They used to go to school events like dances, football games and club parties.
Donald’s parents are Clifford Donald Baumgardner and Jeraldine Lanett (Newkirk) Baumgardner. His grandparents are John Clifford Newkirk and Beatrice Jean (Franks) Newkirk, and Harry H Baumgardner.
Donald was born Nov 2, 1963, in Sioux City, Iowa, at St Vincent Hospital. He went to McKinley Grade School from kindergarten-3rd grade. He raised rabbits when he was five years old.
The family moved to Westfield, Iowa on an acreage. Donald’s Dad built the house they are living in. Donald did different things to help his Dad in any way he could. He helped get wood to burn in the stove and fireplace.
He went to Westfield School from 4th grade-19th grade. Westfield and Akron consolidated so he finished his 11th and 12th grade at Akron at the Akron-Westfield at the Akron-Westfield School. He graduated in May 1983. Donald was a mid-year graduate.
He belonged to Boys Club and worked in the workshop and he enjoyed it. He went to Bible School, was in 4H for 2 years. He was on a Little League Baseball team from the 4th-6th grade. He played basketball in 6th and 7th grade, track in 6th, 7th and 8th grade and was in a school play. For a couple of years he was in the River Cade Parade and dressed up and played the Hulk.
When he was in Westfield, Ia, he had a pony named Star. He was afraid at first to ride it but then when he got used to it he rode it all the time.
He walked beans since 4th grade. He worked every summer for farmers, helping them do their work. He tore up railroad ties for the railroad. He went to work at Sunshine Grocery Store in South Sioux City, Neb, in about 1981. In 1983 he left Sunshine to work for Quality Waste Services for more hours and money.
Donald was baptized in the St Paul United Methodist Church on March 30, 1969, in Sioux City, Iowa.
Donald has brown hair and blue eyes.
Donald like cars and enjoys working on them. He lifts weights. He does body work on vehicles. He likes riding motorcycles and bikes.
Lucretia and Donald were married June 25, 1983, at the Trimble Methodist Church in Sioux City, Iowa.
They had a daughter born June 5, named Tiffany Ann. She was born on her Aunt Eva’s birthday. She weighed 9 lb. 2oz. She ahs dishwater blond hair and blue eyes. She was born at St Lukes Hospital in Sioux City, Iowa.
Their first home was in a trailer house in Sioux City.
They enjoy going to shows and riding bikes. They both like watching T.V. They also like camping and fishing.
