Mrs. Fred Barnes, who was so ill all last week, passed away at her home Monday, April 9th. She leaves a husband, two small children, one brother and many friends in this country to mourn her loss. Her father, mother and other brothers live in Norway. She was a young woman of very loving disposition, and made many friends here who sympathize with her people in their bereavement.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows this was Marie who was born Aug. 29, 1894 and died Apr. 9, 1917. She is buried in the Kendallville-Eddy Cemetery.
