On Friday the sad news came from Rochester of the death of John Rees, who had gone there for treatment. The remains were brought here and funeral services will be held Wednesday.

Mrs. Hursh arrived last week from Waterloo to attend the funeral of her son-in-law John Rees.

OBITUARY—John D. Rees was born in Delaware county, Iowa, March 6th, 1871 and died at Rochester, Minn., Feb. 17, 1917, aged 45 years, 11 months and 11 days. He was united in marriage June 9, 1915 to Miss Edith Pearl Hursh of Waterloo, Iowa, who survives him, also his mother, Mrs. Mary Rees of Burr Oak, and two sisters, Mrs. W. H. Arnold of Burr Oak and Mrs. M. Armstrong of Canton, Minn., and two brothers, Thomas of Albert, Can., and Frank of Arvilla, N. D. Funeral services were held Wednesday from the M. E. church conducted by Rev. Edie and in charge of the Masons, of which lodge deceased was a member.
