Mrs. Rudolph Ernest and children and Bert Butz came Wednesday night from Hope, N. D., called here by the death of their mother, Mrs. John Butz.

Mrs. John Butz died Sunday morning, Feb. 4, and was buried Thursday. The funeral was held at the German M. E. church. Mrs. Butz was sixty years, ten months and two days old. She was a loving wife and true Christian, and always was ready to help where the could. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband, two daughters, five sons and seven grandchildren. The children were all present at the funeral. The sympathy of the entire community goes out to the bereaved ones in their time of sorrow. Rev. Bury of Decorah officiated, assisted by Rev. Shoemaker.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows this was Mary Butz. She was born Apr. 2, 1856 and is buried in the Butz German Methodist Cemetery.
