OBITUARY
CLARK.
The night of death has a glorious morning.
Ralph Clark was born in Illinois, Oct. 14, 1844. At the age of eight, he came with his parents and family to Winneshiek County where he grew to pure and manly manhood; and believing that a true and honest husbandman is the noblest work of God, he pursued farming believing in causing two blades of grass to grow where one grew before.
August 20, 1864, he was united in the holy bonds of matrimony with Miss Meda Schofield. The children surviving are O. W. and W. F., of Cresco; L. S. of Minneapolis; and one daughter, Mrs. A. R. Babcock, of Washaugal, Washington; and thirteen grandchildren; one brother and two sisters, of Cresco. His health failing, he secured a home in Cresco where they lived many years. On Oct. 10hy, he passed from the scenes of earth believing in a better world beyond the grave, leaving his life companion.
Silently the shades of evening gather ‘round our lowly door,
Silently they bring before us faces we shall see no more;
Oh, the lost, the unforgotten! Tho’ the world be oft forgot,
Oh, the shrowded and the lonely; In our hearts they perish not.

Short funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the home with Rev. Bockoven officiating, assisted by Rev. Nye. Interment took place at the Eddy Cemetery at Kendallville.

CARD OF THANKS.
Mrs. Clark and her family desire through the Plain Dealer to express their heartfelt gratitude to their friends who have given true sympathy and help during a time of deepest need. Such service is priceless worth; and they want these friends to know of an appreciation beyond the power of any form of words to tell.
