Joe Hrushka and daughter Helen, of Omaha, Neb., and Mrs. Anna Valenta and daughter Marcella, of Lakin, N. D., attended the funeral of their father, John Hrushka Sr., Thursday.

OBITUARY
Deep sorrow was cast over the Spillville community when the news came on Monday, Sept. 6th, that John Hruska had passed to his final rest at his home in town. He was born July 30, 1848, in Europe and came to America in 1876 and first settled in Spillville. On October 9, 1873, he was united in marriage to Veronica Tuchek at Bazejouic. To them were born the following children: John of this place , Joe of Omaha, Neb., Mary, Mrs. James Frana of Calmar, Louise, Mrs. Frank Poshusta of this place, Anna, Mrs. Frank Valenta of Lankin, N. D., and Caroline at home. Two died in infancy and Frank preceded his father in death some months ago. Besides his children, he leaves to mourn his loving wife. The family loses an affectionate and kind hearted husband and father, a loss which cannot Be replaced in this world. The funeral took place at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church on Thursday, Sept. 9, 1920. Rev. J. P. Broz performed the obsequies.
