OBITUARY.
Hans Johnson, an early day settler near Locust died on the 11th inst. at the Old People’s home in Minneapolis where he went to reside in March last after disposing of his farm. Mr. Johnson was born in Bergen, Norway, October 20, 1832, and came to America and this county about sixty years ago. He was married about forty years ago. His wife having preceded him in death in 1912. He is survived by his four children—Mrs. Lizzie Ringdahl of Stoughton, Wis., Mrs. Hannah Dahl of Prosper, Hans and Elliott Johnson of Decorah. The remains were brought to Decorah for burial Thursday night and the funeral was held Friday at Locust.

Hans Johnson was buried at the Methodist cemetery on Aug. 13th. He had been staying at an old people’s home in St. Paul for a few weeks.
