Mrs. O. E. Bakke and son Erick of Washington Prairie attended the funeral of Mrs. H. O. Bakken.

Thursday evening about eight o’clock occurred the death of Mrs. O. H. Bakken. She was one of the old settlers, having lived in the same neighborhood fifty years. Funeral was held at the Madison church Monday where Revs. Jordahl and Milsson spoke. She was carried to the grave by her sons and grandsons. Those from a distance who came to attend the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Henry Ness, Rev. Nilsson, Christine Peterson and Mrs. J. Vold and son from Decorah, G. Bakke and sister Lizzie, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Bakke, Mrs. T. Storla, son and daughter, Mrs. O. E. Bakke and son Erick of Washington Prairie. We are without an obituary at this writing.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows this was Ingeborg (Bakke) Bakken. She was born Aug. 29, 1841 and died Mar. 4, 1915. She is buried in the Madison Lutheran Cemetery.
