A private family service will be held in the coming weeks.

Born to Gerd and Hanna Peters, Corliss graduated from Manson High School in 1954 and joined the Navy that same year. In 1956, he married Glenda Weir, and together they were blessed with four daughters: Denise (Steve) Gjere, Cindy (Jim) Bappe, Shelly (Dan Bohr) Novotny, and Becky (Dave) Baumler. In 1975, he expanded his endeavors, purchasing Ridgeway Lumber, which today is owned and operated by his daughters and two grandsons. Always a man of vision and determination, Corliss fulfilled a lifelong dream in 1991 when he acquired the Bug Ranch near Alcova, Wyoming, embracing the rugged beauty and lifestyle of ranching in the West.

Throughout his life, Corliss was known for his strong work ethic, and unwavering commitment to everything he set out to do. He believed in the value of hard work and instilled that belief in his daughters and grandchildren. Corliss loved to share stories of his adventures on the farm and ranch, offering wisdom, humor, and a deep appreciation for the land and animals he worked with.

Corliss is survived by his wife, Glenda (Weir) Peters; daughters Denise (Steve) Gjere, Cindy (Jim) Bappe, Shelly (Dan Bohr) Novotny, and Becky (Dave) Baumler; grandchildren Michelle (Tim) Fries, Chris (Lizzy) Gjere, Travis Gjere (Ashley), Randy Gjere, Pete Gjere (Lori), Matt (Kassy) Gjere, Brad Darling (Trisha), Kristy (Lee) Huinker, Teesha (Scott) Helms, Jarred Bappe, Ethan (Emily) Novotny, Emily (Michael) Hauber, Mitch Novotny (Laura), Vanessa (Gage) Luse, Kathleen (Matt) McCulley, Candice (Aaron) Ashbacher, Jessica Baumler (Collin), Scott (Alicia) Baumler; and great-grandchildren Cass, Milo, & Thea Fries, Thor, & Lexie Gjere, Oliver, & Hannah Gjere, Jameson & Benny Gjere, Landon Gjere, Bradan, & Brody Darling, Tylar, & Hayden Wenthold, Jackson, & Mason Huinker, Jaelyn, & Landry Helms, Laya Novotny, Peyton Hauber, Emrick, & Daxden Luse, Oliver Ashbacher, Braeden, & Logan Gallagher, Ryder McDonald, Elijah, Annora, Aphelia, & Isaiah Baumler.
