Mr. and Mrs. Pettis of Kasota, Minn., were in attendance at the funeral of Landis Van Horn. They returned home yesterday.

OBITUARY.
Christmas morning Landis van Horn, the little eight-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. L. L. Van Horn, passed away after an illness of about one year from diabetes. Landis was born in Postville, where his parents were living before they moved to Decorah. The funeral was held in the methodist church Monday afternoon, Rev. G. S. Lackland officiating, and the remains were taken to Postville Monday for interment.

This community was shocked Saturday to learn of the death of Landis Van Horn at Decorah Christmas morning. Although he had been poorly for the last two years, the end was not expected so soon The cause of his death was diabetes. The family used to live in this neighborhood some years ago. The Bereaved ones have our sympathy.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he was born June 24, 1906 and is buried in the Postville Cemetery
