Promising Young Man Dead
On Friday, November 27th, at Mercy hospital, Cedar Rapids, Louis L. McRaith, son of Mrs. Minnie Hutchinson McRaith, passed away after an illness of over six weeks due to appendicitis. He had been operated on for that disease and apparently was recovering nicely when he suffered a relapse which terminated in his death. The deceased is spoken of as one of Cedar Rapids’ most ambitious young business men. He was in his twenty-third year and had but recently acquired an interest in the Hutchinson company of which his uncle, Frank D. Hutchinson, was the principle owner and manager. The sympathy of many old friends go out to Mrs. Hutchinson and her daughters in their bereavement.Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he was born May 8, 1891 and died Dec. 4, 1914. He is buried in the Old Saint Joseph Cemetery in Iowa City.
