Mrs. Thomas Taylor passed away at her home last Oct. 5, 1914, after a lingering illness. Death was caused by old age and blood-poison. Elizabeth Triska was born in Bohemia in 1848. In 1853 she with her parents came to America and settled at Cleveland, O. for two years. From there they moved to Winneshiek county and settled on a farm. In 1866 she was united in marriage to Thomas Taylor at Spillville, Iowa. To this union were born six children, of whom five survive:--Victoria Mrs. M. Tupy; Mary, Mrs. Fr. Moudry; Joseph, and John of Spillville, Adolph of Lawler. Funeral services were held on Wednesday morning at St. Wenceslaus church, Rev. Ballon officiating. Thoe who conveyed her to her last resting place were John, Adolph, Joseph, and Mike Taylor, John Triska and M. Tupy. Their many friends extend their sympathy in their hour of trouble.
