Caroline, the youngest daughter of Mrs. John Pavlovec, passed away last Saturday evening at 7 o’clock after three days’ illness. Caroline’s age was nine years and ten months, but so well had the short life been spent that she was ready to meet her Father. She was always cheerful and her unfailing kindness endeared her to her family and her companions. Her mother, five brothers, William, John, Gabriel and Sylvester of this place and Ludwig of Dubuque and three sisters, Mds. Valentine and Foley of Charles City and Mrs. Mike Phillips from near Calmar are left to mourn her loss. Funeral services were held yesterday at 9 o’clock and interment was made at the Catholic cemetery.
