He was born in Thompson, IA May 11, 1921 to Emma (Peterson) and Hans Andreas Hansing. He was a graduate of Luther College, Decorah, IA, and Luther Seminary, St. Paul, MN. He married Gerda Solveig Davig in 1950. He was a Master Sergeant Fifth US Army/AFR WWII, North Africa and Italy, and was awarded 4 Bronze Stars, Silver Star, Army Commendation Ribbon, and a Purple Heart. During his 63 year ministry he was blessed to serve Lutheran congregations in Westby and Harlowton, MT; Hoyt Lakes, MN; Radcliffe, Waukon, and Kelley, IA; and LaCrosse, WI.
He was preceded in death by wife, Gerda; brother Adrian; and sisters Pernelle, Ardys, and Mavis.
