Gerda S. (Davig) Hansing
Bloomington, MN

Gerda Solveig Davig, daughter of Martin Davig and Stella Christenson Davig, was born January 19, 1925 in Crawford County Wisconsin. She was baptized and confirmed in the North Kickapoo Lutheran Church. After graduation from Luther College in 1945 she spent a year in Norway, also traveling on the continent. In 1950 she was married to Marlyn Hansing of Thompson, Iowa. They are the parents of three children. She died September 12, 2011. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Christen and Paul. Surviving are her husband, her children John and Elizabeth Moon, Mark and Ellen Hansing, and Mark and Rebecca McCaughey, and her grandchildren, Kevin McCaughey, Elizabeth, Margit and Matthew Hansing and two brothers, Milan and Elling.

Memorial service at 11 a.m., Friday, September 30, at St. Stephen Lutheran, 8400 France, Bloomington, MN 55437. Visitation one hour prior to service.
