OBITUARY.
Frank Melvin, the only child of Wm. and Anna Laura Blackmarr, born Oct. 24th, 1911, in Mitchell, S. D., died at Mason City, Aug. 19, and was buried in Phelps cemetery, Decorah, Iowa, on Wednesday, Aug. 20th. The funeral was conducted from the house of the grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Blackmarr. To part with a dear child, with the only child,--to see the joy of your life and the delight of your home sink into an early grave, that is an affliction for parents so great and painful that words cannot describe it. And yet there is a bright ray of light and hope which penetrates the darkest sorrow. He who gave and hath taken away has also said, “Suffer the little children to come unto me and forbid tehm{sic} not for of such is the kingdom of heaven.” May the Savior words be a comfort to you who so keenly feel your loss.
